Heer & Veer (Part 3)

15 days passed after that day which meant that Tahir’s suspension period would end tomorrow. Heer was stressed thinking about Veer’s words. 

“When Tahir comes after his suspension period, you should not be there in this college. If you don’t obey me, you will have to face Tahir’s wrath, which will be worse than this.”

Heer didn’t have an idea regarding what to do to overcome this situation. She wasn’t ready to share this issue with her parents as she was scared thinking about their reactions. Hence, Heer went to St. Joseph’s orphanage which was owned by a Christian family. It was the only place where her Maa would permit her to go other than school. Heer loved the serenity of the orphanage and spending time with the children. But that was not the reason for her today’s visit. She wanted to meet her best friend, Emily Knight, with whom she used to share all her problems. She was the daughter of Andy Knight, the current head of the family, that owned the orphanage. Emily was Heer’s bestie since childhood and also the only friend she had. She was a bold girl who solved all sorts of troubles faced by Heer.

“How dare he give you open threats? Who the hell is he? Just tell me his name, Heer. I’ll make sure he’s destroyed,” Emily said with sheer angry.

“You can’t do anything to him or rather to anyone in his friends’ gang. They are very influential,” Heer told.

“So, are you gonna stop going to college because of their threat?” Emily asked.

“I don’t know what to do, Mily. I’m scared,” Heer told emotionally.

“Heeru, if you start getting scared for each and everything, then you can never live in this world. You have to fight your fears, Heer. You must go to college tomorrow. Otherwise, those rascals would feel that they have won. If you need me, I’ll also come with you. Let’s see what they can do,” Emily gave Heer words of confidence and support.

“No need. I’ll go alone,” Heer told Emily as she knew that Mily would cause some trouble if she accompanied her to college. Heer left from there in the hope that Tahir and his gang won’t harm her. She waited for tomorrow to happen.
